Reluctant copywriter.

Aspiring rennaissance man.

Wait. What?

Isn’t this a copywriter’s portfolio site? Well, yes, and no. It is true that I’ve built a career thus far on my (modestly) massive copywriting talent. But a job does not a person make. Capitalism, amirite???

I love cooking, baking, playing chess, brewing, music and audio production, history, learning languages, British comedy panel shows, animals, collecting 45s and, oh yeah, being a radio DJ.

Basically, in the Middle Ages I would’ve been the monk they burned at the stake for mouthing off to the abbot and dabbling in some light alchemy.

I’m worth it. Lemme work it.

  • HungerRush

We’re HungerRush’s brand agency, and we built that relationship out of one single, simple email design project. Today, we help this restaurant software provider communicate that their all-in-one, cloud-based point-of-sale system isn’t a POS.

  • BlueYonder: Mission to MARS

Concepts galore! Blue Yonder’s primary product is an end-to-end, AI-enabled supply chain software platform. We work with their account-based marketing (ABM) team to create tailored campaign concepts. But this award-winning first project is still my favorite.

  • Appgate

Appgate is an up-and-coming cybersecurity firm that bases its “secure network access” products on the principles of “Zero Trust.” What’s Zero Trust you ask? How long do you have? We helped them educate the market with brand concept work, trade show collateral and more.

  • Symphony Brand Manifesto Video

Symphony set out to be a disrupter in the market of “secure collaboration.” Think Slack, but uber-secure, and designed for the financial and banking industries. We produced this high-impact brand video for them on what was a fairly shoestring budget.

More about ME.

I’m a copywriter based in Austin, Texas with over a decade’s worth of writing and editing experience. My education includes both an undergrad in political science and 99.9% (i.e. all coursework completed) of a master’s degree in Journalism from the University of Texas.

Before I worked in advertising and marketing, I did work as a freelance writer, editor, and part-time audio producer—specializing in music journalism.

I’d love to hear from ya

A robust case of imposter syndrome means that I crave validation. Gimme a shout, and I’ll let our dogs Milly and Freddie know you care.
